My wife and I, along with our daughter, travelled to NYC and enjoyed the sites. I was particularly happy to find the Bushwick Collective Block Part was happening while we were visiting.

On Sunday, April 6th, Words Beats & Life Inc. presented the Fine Lines Mural Jam in partnership with HiArts and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The event featured more than 50 artists from the Baltimore-Washington DC metro area as well as crews from Philadelphia and New Jersey.

One of the most fascinating things about street art, and graffiti in particular, is its ephemeral nature. Art pieces are short-lived, as artists and writers reuse prime wall space. Though the art pieces be momentary, their expression is vibrant.

No matter what the type of photography I am pursuing at the moment (nature, cityscapes, special events, etc.), a big part of the fun is the thrill of the hunt … tracking down something new. Saturday I had a few hours free (woo-hoo!) and decided to see what new graffiti and street art I might find.

One of the best things about living in Baltimore is the enjoyment of the city’s spirit, vibrance, and creative energy.
